Is This You?

You Deserve More Than "That's Just Part of Pregnancy"

Too many pregnant women are told to simply put up with pain and leakage. Prenatal pelvic floor therapy can help with all of the following — and more.

Back, hip, or pelvic girdle pain
Round ligament pain
Leaking urine when you sneeze or laugh
Pressure or heaviness in the pelvis
Diastasis recti (ab separation)
Constipation or bowel changes
Fear of tearing or episiotomy
Wanting to push effectively during labor
Sciatica or tailbone pain
Pubic symphysis pain (SPD)
Wanting a faster, smoother recovery
Pain with sex during pregnancy

Our Approach

The Prenatal Roadmap

Every visit is one-on-one with your therapist. No rushed appointments, no cookie-cutter plans. Here's what your journey typically looks like:

1

Build Your Core

Prevent ab separation (diastasis recti) and create a strong foundation for the rest of your pregnancy.

2

Free Your Hips

Improve mobility and reduce the aches and pains that slow you down as your belly grows.

3

Train Your Pelvic Floor

Learn to relax and lengthen your pelvic floor so it's ready to work with — not against — you during birth.

4

Protect Your Perineum

Reduce your risk of tearing with perineal massage instruction and targeted preparation techniques.

5

Push with Confidence

Practice real labor positions and pushing mechanics — with your partner if you'd like them involved.

6

Birth Day Tune-Up

A final session to prepare your hips, pelvic floor, and uterine ligaments for delivery day.

What to Expect

Your First Visit at Connect Pelvic Health

We know the first appointment can feel nerve-wracking. Here's exactly what happens.

1

A real conversation first

Your therapist takes time to understand your full history, your birth goals, and any concerns — not just your symptoms. You'll never feel rushed.

2

A thorough, comfortable assessment

We assess your posture, movement, and — with your consent — your pelvic floor. Everything is explained before we do it, and you're in control the entire time.

3

A personalized plan built around you

You leave with a clear roadmap, exercises you can actually do at home, and a therapist who knows your name and your goals.

Dr. Deliz and the entire team at Connect Pelvic Health have been absolutely wonderful throughout my pregnancy. I'm currently 39 weeks pregnant, and I'm so incredibly grateful for all of their help, support, and care during this season. Dr. Deliz was so kind, informative, compassionate, and truly took the time to listen and help me feel supported. Every visit felt welcoming and encouraging, and I always left feeling better physically and emotionally.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I start prenatal pelvic floor therapy?

Ideally in your first or second trimester, so there's time to address discomfort and fully prepare for birth. That said, it's never too late — we see patients in their third trimester and even weeks before their due date.

Is it safe during pregnancy?

Yes. Pelvic physical therapy is safe throughout pregnancy and is recommended by OBs and midwives. All techniques are adapted to your stage of pregnancy and your comfort level.

Do I need a referral from my OB or midwife?

Georgia is a direct access state, meaning you can see a physical therapist without a physician referral. We do work closely with OBs, midwives, and doulas across the area.

Do you accept insurance?

Please contact us directly to discuss insurance and payment options. We'll help you understand your benefits before your first appointment.

What if I'm in my third trimester — is it too late?

Not at all. Even a few focused sessions can make a meaningful difference in your comfort, your pushing mechanics, and your recovery after birth.
