A Missing Piece of the Puzzle

The Body's Physical Environment Matters for Fertility

Many fertility treatments focus entirely on hormones and timing. But the physical structures of your body — your uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, pelvic floor, and surrounding fascia — also play a critical role. Scar tissue, adhesions, restricted blood flow, and improper organ positioning can all create mechanical barriers to conception that no medication can address.

A note of compassion

We understand that fertility struggles are emotionally and physically exhausting. Our therapists provide a calm, private, and judgment-free space. You never have to explain yourself here — just show up, and we'll take care of the rest.

How We Help

Our Techniques

Dr. Brandie has completed advanced training through the Barral Institute in visceral and manual therapy for fertility optimization. Here's what that includes:

Visceral Mobilization

Gentle manual techniques to restore normal movement and position of the uterus, ovaries, and surrounding organs.

Scar Tissue Release

Targeted work on adhesions from prior surgeries — C-sections, laparoscopies, appendectomies — that may be restricting reproductive organ function.

Lymphatic Drainage

Improves circulation to and from reproductive tissues, reducing inflammation and supporting hormonal balance.

Pelvic Floor Release

Addresses pelvic floor tension that can impair blood flow and create structural restrictions around the reproductive organs.

FAQs

Common Questions

Can physical therapy really help with fertility?

Research supports the role of manual therapy in improving outcomes for certain types of infertility — particularly those related to adhesions, endometriosis, and restricted pelvic circulation. It's not a cure-all, but for many patients it addresses physical barriers that medical treatments alone cannot.

When during my cycle should I come in?

We'll discuss timing at your first appointment based on your specific situation. In general, the follicular phase (after your period, before ovulation) is often ideal for treatment.

Can I do this alongside IUI or IVF?

Yes — many patients use fertility PT as a complement to assisted reproductive technology. We coordinate with your fertility specialist to make sure our approach supports your treatment plan.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies depending on your history and goals. We typically start with an evaluation and build a plan from there. Many patients do a series of sessions leading up to a planned IUI or IVF cycle.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is required in Georgia. You can contact us directly to get started.

After unexplained infertility and two rounds of IVF to get pregnant with my first son, I was able to work with Dr. Brandie for just three visits before conceiving my second baby. I am now in my second trimester and am so grateful for her help.
